Job Summary
We are seeking professional and vigilant Security Response Officers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and infrastructure across the railway network. You must demonstrate the ability to proactively interact with customers, offering a helpful and reassuring presence while maintaining strong situational awareness and fast response to incidents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Patrol stations, platforms, and trains to deter and detect criminal or disruptive activities.
* Respond promptly to emergencies, security breaches, or suspicious activities in accordance with established protocols.
* Proactively engage with passengers to offer assistance, provide directions, and ensure a safe commuting environment.
* De-escalate conflicts and manage crowd control during peak hours, service disruptions, or special events.
* Assist law enforcement and emergency services when required, including preparing incident reports and statements.
* Provide visible security presence and enforce MTR by-laws and regulations.
* Support evacuations or service shutdowns in case of emergency situations.
* Communicate effectively with control rooms, other officers, and station staff to ensure coordinated security coverage.
Requirements:
* SIA License (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Previous experience in a transport or public-facing security role is an advantage
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
