Job Title: Process Operator
Location: Testwood, Hampshire - you will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving license.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours
Salary: £27,656.24 per annum plus standby and overtime opportunities.
Standby rota participation can increase earnings significantly.
About the role
Join our frontline operations team in Testwood to ensure water supply works and pumping stations run smoothly. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, protecting the environment, and delivering excellent service to our customers.
What you will be responsible for:
1. Compliance testing and monitoring.
2. Maintenance tasks including unblocking pumps, screens, and valves.
3. Repair of alarm systems and fault resolution.
4. Monitoring, collating, and reporting data for regulatory compliance.
5. Carrying out regular sampling and maintaining sampling equipment.
6. Receiving and handling chemical deliveries safely.
7. Using IT systems to log maintenance tasks and ensure safety compliance.
Additional Requirements
Participation in a standby rota.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential
8. Valid UK manual driving licence.
9. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
10. Adaptable, reliable, and self-motivated.
11. Good time management and ability to work independently.
12. Keen to learn and operate complex processes.
Desirable
13. Experience in the water supply operations or similar process industries.
14. Basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills.
