We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 2 practitioner to inspire pupils as they continue their journey through Upper Key Stage 2, developing independence, resilience, and confidence in their learning.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class and deliver high-quality teaching across the National Curriculum. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons in literacy, numeracy, and the wider curriculum, creating a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a love of learning.
Assessment and tracking of progress will be central to your practice. You will monitor pupils’ achievements, identify next steps, and provide targeted support to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL, make strong progress. Differentiation will be used effectively to meet individual learning needs.
You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Upper Key Stage 2 colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency across the year group. Strong communication with parents and carers is valued, and you will be encouraged to build positive partnerships to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners. ECTs will benefit from a structured induction and mentoring programme, while experienced teachers will have opportunities to share expertise and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
