The next ITC course is due to start—you will be expected to complete national Police Vetting prior to starting the role, and you will be paid for the days you attend the ITC course. Are you interested in working within the criminal justice system? In a core role, support the police in custody. We are looking for people who want to make a difference working alongside the police in custody suites, caring for detainees and supporting their rehabilitation with other agencies.
Responsibilities
* Support detainees during their time in custody and work with colleagues and the Police to manage detainees who are a risk of harming themselves.
* Escort detainees and provide care in custody, including physical, mental health, and wellbeing support as per individual plans.
* Collaborate with other agencies to support detainee rehabilitation.
Minimum requirements
* Previous Police/Security/Forces experience would be beneficial.
* Reasonable level of spoken and written English and basic numeracy.
* Full valid driving licence.
* Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
* Have a valid British passport/settled status.
* All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
Wages and benefits
* £13.75 per hour
* Minimum 2, 12-hour shifts per month
