Finance Assistant
Location: Coatbridge, Scotland
Salary: £26,416 per annum plus pension, BUPA Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 31 days’ holiday (rising with service)
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
We are recruiting a Finance Assistant with well-rounded experience in finance tasks to join our growing business on a permanent basis.
Within our finance team, you will assist in managing sales and purchase ledgers and ensure the timely completion of daily routines. This role covers our Supply Collect and Food Waste divisions managed by the Coatbridge finance team.
Duties of a Finance Assistant
* Daily reconciliation of drivers' returns
* Support credit controllers and purchase ledger clerk
* Set up new customers and suppliers on the ERP system
* Liaise with depots to meet deadlines and timescales
* Assist with ad hoc duties as required by the Management Accountant
Experience & Skills
* General accounts experience (essential)
* Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
* Experience within FMCG/Waste Management businesses (desirable)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel (intermediate skills)
* Methodical approach
* Team player with ability to work independently
* Ability to work across different finance functions
* Confident telephone manner
* Ability to build effective relationships with non-finance departments
* Strong communication skills
