CK Group are currently recruiting for a Service Manager, on behalf of a medical diagnostic company.
Location: This role will be based at their site in Gateshead and is a permanent role with Mon-Fri daytime working hours.
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
The Role: The successful candidate will lead and develop a skilled team of service engineers, working closely with the Technical Support Team to ensure all customer issues are resolved efficiently and within key performance targets.
This is primarily a site-based role, with travel for emergency cover and support estimated to be less than 25%. International travel will be required more than UK travel.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and schedule all preventive maintenance and repair visits
* Act as a forward-facing point of contact for customers and distributors
* Provide direct and remote service support within the UK and internationally
* Ensure emergency breakdown response within 24 hours (Mon–Fri)
* Lead, train, and develop the service team to meet performance goals
Your Background:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Service Manager or Team Leader in a technical service environment
* Proven track record managing and developing customer-facing service teams
* Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and software (qualification or relevant experience required)
* Medial diagnostics experience would be advantageous
