Lawes Consulting Group are working with a progressively growing insurer who are on the lookout for an Actuarial portfolio manager.
This is a great opportunity to work with an established Lloyds Syndicate who is welcoming individuals to the team from any line of business.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an actuarial insurance-based role.
Responsibilities
* Have effective communication of analytical results
* Engage with the capital modelling, actuarial and finance teams to ensure consistency in the approach to risk modelling both across the syndicate and with other entities in the Group
* Bring actuarial experience to the design and development of the Lloyds syndicates catastrophe modelling and exposure management capabilities.
* Manage strong working relationships with Lloyd’s and key suppliers
* Work closely with data scientists to build best practices and digital portfolio management capabilities.
Qualification, Experience & Capabilities
* Understanding of open data standards in the insurance space, especially catastrophe modelling would be a major plus
* Experience to working in multidisciplinary, agile teams would be a major plus
* Degree in a numerate subject
* Strong analytic skills: qualified actuary OR significant experience in technical underwriting
