Team Manager - Children's Front Door

About the role:
We are seeking an interim Team Manager for a Children’s Front Door team, who will lead the Early Help Hub. We need a qualified and registered social worker who is a confident decision-maker.
The Safeguarding Hub, Early Help Hub, and the Emergency Duty Team are the first points of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns and early help enquiries related to children. You will manage a small team of alternatively qualified Early Help and Prevention Practitioners who handle all early help requests. Additionally, you will provide management support within the Safeguarding Hub and support staff in a multi-agency forum with co-located partners. You will be part of a team of managers working together to ensure that children receive the right service at the right time.
We are looking for candidates who can lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high-quality services for children and families. You will need to be a competent, knowledgeable manager with experience working in a Children’s Front Door Service. You should be dynamic and promote positive and proactive working. It is crucial that you have experience in decision-making to ensure the safety of children at the first point of contact, and that you can provide swift direction and excellent management oversight to workers to ensure the right decision and outcome for every child and family.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work within a quality assurance framework and provide high-quality support and supervision for staff.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a multi-agency team.
• Foster positive working relationships with a range of different agencies.
What you need:
1. A degree in Social Work or equivalent
2. Registered with Social Work England
3. At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
4. Completed relevant post-qualifying training
5. Enhanced DBS check
6. Excellent communication and written skills
