Housing Management Worker - Gateshead
Location: Gateshead
Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: £12.60/hour (£24,638 per annum) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan
About the Role
We are seeking a Housing Management Worker to join our team in Gateshead. As our housing and property expert, you will support customers to ensure their homes are safe and well maintained. You will provide housing management services, assist with tenancy and rent management, and help customers move to secure, long-term accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support customers with low to medium needs, engaging them in their tenancies.
2. Assist with housing benefit claims and ensure these are reflected in rent accounts.
3. Turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales, including physical maintenance tasks.
4. Conduct routine safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities.
5. Manage administrative tasks such as updating records, ordering, and arranging payments for works.
Candidate Profile
* Experience in property management or compliance, health and safety checks is desirable but not essential.
* Proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
* Passionate about customer service and helping others.
* Ability to influence positively and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
* Interest in property management and maintaining high-quality homes for customers.
