Responsibilities
The AV Technician is responsible for implementation of systems our clients use with pride and confidence. Accountabilities may include:
* Installation of audio-visual equipment
o Mounted in racks
o Mounted on the wall
o Installed from the ceiling, unistrut or I-beams
o Installed in table-cubbies or credenzas
* Installation of infrastructure to support AV equipment
o Threaded rod/Unistrut
o Low-voltage electrical boxes
o Surface or in-wall raceways and conduits
* Running/terminating low-voltage cables to support AV systems
* Use of ladders, hand tools and electrical tools
* Use of lifts
* Reading and understanding plans
o Floor plans
o Reflected ceiling plans
o Schematic diagrams
