Job Title: Environmental Manager - Major Infrastructure
Location: UK Wide
Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella only)
Duration: Ongoing long-term project
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to join a major UK infrastructure programme. This role will suit someone with a strong understanding of environmental management within large-scale construction and infrastructure settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide environmental assurance across project activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and environmental commitments.
Review and advise on design and construction methodologies from an environmental perspective.
Support the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams on environmental matters.
Monitor, manage, and report on performance in areas such as noise, water, ecology, and landscape.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in environmental management on major infrastructure or construction projects.
Strong understanding of the UK's regulatory and legislative framework relating to large infrastructure schemes.
Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, CIEEM, or similar).
Technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Landscape
Noise attenuation
Water Framework Directive / water management
Ecology
Soil management
