As an Employment Specialist with Connect to Work focusing on the Cotswold District, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic programme that provides personalised, one-to-one support to individuals who need it most, empowering them to move into sustainable employment and build brighter futures. About the RoleGloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub offer a one-stop source of information, advice, guidance and support around employment and skills. Working with a range of partners and employers in localities across Gloucestershire the Hub delivers 1:1 support through a number of programmes for people with barriers to sustaining or retaining work, as well as advice and signposting for any resident looking for help. As an Employment Specialist, you’ll work predominantly based in the Cotswold District (north and south) to support individuals from diverse backgrounds who face significant barriers such as disability and long-term health conditions to find and maintain sustained employment. You’ll build strong relationships with participants, helping them identify suitable job goals through vocational profiling and personalised employment plans. You’ll also work closely with local employers and support organisations to create inclusive opportunities, using your knowledge of the local labour market to match people’s strengths with real job opportunities.
