Associate Linguists prioritize linguistic tasks for various types of documents depending on Production needs and
in accordance with their subject matter expertise. Their linguistic skills are certified as part of the hiring process.
DESCRIPTION
1. Understand TransPerfect’s quality standards and ensure they are upheld to meet client expectations
2. Take part in and pass all trainings required for Associate Linguists, including but not limited to their subject matter certification, tech tools, TPT production processes, and Quality Assurance processes
3. Easily navigate among company resources, including but not limited to, Confluence, Launchpad, technology, etc.
4. Perform all linguistic tasks according to project specifications, including but not limited to project instructions, reference materials, language assets (translation memory, glossary, style guide, etc.)
5. Follow internal and client processes on all projects
6. Work under close supervision of the Team Lead/a more senior member of the team
7. Achieve quality and efficiency targets as set by manager/supervisor
8. Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor
Job requirements
9. Native Level of English
10. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in Hebrew
11. Cultural knowledge in both Hebrew and English
12. Be flexible with changes of priorities and adaptive to a fast-paced work environment, including being open to
13. align with Production and team needs and urgencies
14. Flexibility and adaptability to the different assignments and tasks using the relevant skills and tools in each
15. case (accuracy, creativity, terminology adequacy, etc.)
16. Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projects
17. Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, results-oriented, self-motivated
18. Ability to maintain professionalism and focus under pressure and tight deadlines
19. Problem solving/critical thinking skills
20. Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and/or translation certificate
21. Must have successfully passed the Internal Linguistic testing in line with TransPerfect’s TLC program
22. Prior translation/proofreading/copywriting/etc. with lifescience contents would be a plus
