Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Start: Immediate

Contract: Full-time

Salary ranges from: £31,650 to £51,048

We are seeking an experienced and committed SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Swanage, Dorset. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for a passionate professional who is dedicated to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

Have you got what we are looking for:

* Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
* Identify, assess, and support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
* Develop and review EHCPs, support plans, and intervention strategies
* Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt teaching and learning approaches
* Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals
* Monitor progress and ensure statutory requirements are met
* The ability to build rapport and strong communication skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability within the classroom, tailoring the education to each student’s needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
