Job overview

Passionate about empowering others to support children’s development?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Therapist to lead and shape training within our Children’s Therapy Service.

In this dynamic role, you’ll deliver engaging, evidence-based training to parents, schools, and professionals—supporting children through universal and targeted approaches. You’ll coach others to confidently embed practical strategies into everyday environments, making a real difference to children’s outcomes.

You’ll also play a key role in developing and evolving our training offer—working with clinical experts to design high-quality programmes, reviewing content, and using feedback to continuously improve. With a strong focus on best practice and local priorities, you’ll ensure our training remains relevant, impactful, and accessible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with creativity, influencing practice at scale while supporting families and professionals across the system.

If you’re driven, collaborative, and excited by innovation—we’d love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Lead the delivery and development of high-quality, evidence-based training for parents, professionals, and services supporting children and young people. The role involves delivering and coordinating a range of training formats (including webinars and face-to-face sessions), developing and reviewing training programmes, and ensuring content aligns with best practice and local priorities. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across education, health, and community settings to promote training, support consistent service delivery, and maximise impact. The post also includes maintaining accurate records, contributing to strategic planning, and continuously improving training through feedback, evaluation, and ongoing professional development.
