HR Generalist (Temporary)
Location: Bradford – Fully onsite 5 days a week
Role Duration: Temporary, initially till September
Pay: Up to per hour
Hays is working with an Academy based in Bradford for the temporary recruitment of an HR Generalist to deliver an effective and efficient HR service, coordinate HR and recruitment activities, and manage HR Administration colleagues. Support the implementation of the Trust’s HR policies, leadership development, and HR strategy aligned with school improvement priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Policy Implementation: Manage ER casework, liaise with trade unions, and escalate cases as needed.
2. HR Advisory: Coach and advise leadership and middle leaders on HR processes.
3. Recruitment Management: Oversee recruitment procedures, onboarding processes, and ensure compliance with safer recruitment legislation.
4. HR Service Delivery: Ensure robust processes and systems for accuracy and compliance with employment legislation.
5. Employee Wellbeing: Support attendance and wellbeing activities, manage OH referrals.
6. HR Reporting: Produce reports with key HR data and metrics for senior leadership.
7. HR Correspondence: Issue high-quality HR correspondence related to casework.
8. Employee Records Management: Manage employee records and ensure pre-employment and safeguarding checks.
9. Training Coordination: Oversee HR and safeguarding training delivery.
10. Line Management: Manage HR Administrator, including performance reviews.
11. Team Participation: Participate in regular meetings, training, and continuous improvement of processes.
Experience Required:
1. HR advisory experience, including proven experience managing ER casework and handling competing priorities.
2. Experience with HR and payroll systems, and HR improvement projects.
3. Experience working in education or local government with HR processes is desirable.
4. Knowledge of employment legislation, KCSIE, Safer Recruitment practices, safeguarding children and young people.
5. Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
