Job Title: Optometrist. Location: St. Austell. Employment Type: Full time. Contract: Permanent. Shift Pattern: Work Shift: Days, Hours per Week: 40. Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits.
Responsibilities
A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations. You will be working alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support our colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining all our departmental standards. Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we commit to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions and will support you to gain any additional accreditations you may need to be able to deliver these services.
Will support the development of new patient services and shape the culture of the department. Will hold the GOC registration and remain compliant with statutory points requirements for CPD. Will deliver a memorable customer experience and foster positive relationships within the team and the wider community.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
* Registered performer with NHS area team or health board MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us).
* On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
* Right to work in the UK and evidence of being on the NHS performer list for the nation you wish to work in.
* Provide 2 clinical references.
* If applying in Wales, evidence of WECS accreditation & WGOS module accreditation.
