Your Role:
As a vital member of our dental team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient education and providing top-notch oral hygiene care. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
* Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
* Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans.
* Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental and other dental software.
* Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
* Travel as needed to support community sites, utilizing a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
* Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
* Active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License.
* 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred.
* Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
* Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.
* Effective oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency preferred based on clinic location).
* Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations.
* Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software, Microsoft Office, and other necessary systems.
* Valid driver’s license (based on clinic location) and willingness to travel as needed.
