We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Quarry Operative to join our fantastic team at our Mountsorrel Quarry, in Quorn, near to Loughborough in Leicestershire. This role is commutable from Quorn, Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Shepshed, Syston, Glenfield, Ibstock, Sileby, Kegworth, Nottingham, Derby, Grantham, Matlock, Tunstead, Dene, Ashbourne, Oakham, Bardon Hill and the surrounding areas.
This role will be working from 3pm – 1am Monday to Friday.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Plant Supervisor. The Multi Skilled Quarry Operative will work on the day-to-day operations driving mobile plant, you will work with the team to the site plan, ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.
Your responsibilities as the Multi Skilled Quarry Operative will include (not exhaustive):
1. Operating Mobile Plant on site
2. Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers getgood qualitymaterial and on-time deliveries
3. Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
4. Follow SHE policies and procedures
5. Ensure Plantconforms with safety requirements at all times
6. Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
7. Inspections on the plant and acting on defects and implement remedial action
8. Ensure that plant availability ismaximised
9. Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as an operative or labourer. As well as possessgood communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.

10. Knowledge of Plant
11. Shovel License – highly desirable
12. Good Timekeeping – flexible as to the site requirements
13. Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
14. Previousexperience in mobile plant operations
15. Full UK DrivingLicence
16. IT Literate
Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Quarry Operative working in a Plant/Quarry environment would prove highly beneficial; but this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
