Production Manager (m/w/d) – Chemical Industry (Top-Tier CoMAH Site)
Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Responsibilities
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety Regulations, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Procedures
* Leading and coaching operational shift teams to ensure accurate reporting and handling of equipment defects and alarms
* Managing site production costs, including consumables, utility usage, reagents, and waste disposal
* Driving a continuous improvement culture using KPIs and lean initiatives
* Ensuring seamless execution and communication of production and logistics plans
* Acting as a role model and leader, motivating teams across all levels
Qualifications & Education
* Degree-level education or extensive relevant experience in chemical or process industries
* NEBOSH Process Safety Certificate or recognized Health & Safety qualification preferred
What You Bring
* Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a chemical industry setting (ideally CoMAH regulated)
* At least 4 years of experience leading teams in an operational environment
* Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
* Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and team development
* Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
