Calling all aspiring IT Support Technicians! Baltic Apprenticeships are thrilled to be partnering with Greenergy to hire an IT Support Apprentice! Greenergy International Ltd is a British distributor of petrol and diesel for motor vehicles and has over a quarter of the UK market. It blends fuels at terminals on the Thames estuary in the south and on Teesside in the north. It sells more than 20 million litres of petrol and diesel a day. As an apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for providing support over the phone, email, and chat. This post will be to support the Operational IT Infrastructure manager and team to ensure all operational plant IT infrastructure are maintained. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Provide technical support to customers over the phone, email, and chat. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. PC Installation including hardware and software delivery Perform remote fixes at the desktop user level, including installing and upgrading software, configuring systems and applications Password resets and account set-ups Escalate issues to the 2nd line support team or vendors as needed. Document technical issues and resolutions. Maintain knowledge base of technical issues and resolutions. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and software. Provide excellent customer service. Asset management, track and monitor performance of services, software patching server environments, managing customer VPN accounts, cyber security, improve documentation and support the end user experience Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
