Commis Chef
Location: Solihull
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £12.56 per hour
Hours: 37.5 per week
A co-educational private day senior school in Solihull, West Midlands, catering for 1200 students and teachers daily. The role involves providing meals during morning break, lunch, and managing a sixth form cafe with hospitality services. This is a term-time only position working 43 weeks, Monday to Friday. Free on-site parking is available.
We seek a talented Commis Chef to join our team at our prestigious Solihull location. Whether you are an experienced commis chef or aspiring to develop your skills through our chefs academy, we invite you to apply.
You will enjoy working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and diverse, bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcase opportunities are part of this role.
Key responsibilities:
* Work effectively in a team to provide breakfast, lunch, and hospitality services.
* Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, following company standards.
* Adhere to food standards, control wastage, and follow hygiene and safety policies, including allergen controls.
* Pot wash duties experience is advantageous.
* Deliver excellent customer service and be a great team player.
Skills and qualities:
* Genuine interest in food and customer service.
* Team-oriented with a passion for quality food.
* Organized with attention to detail.
* Good verbal and written English skills.
* Experience in customer service or food prep preferred.
