 
        
        Practice Manager – Family Help Team (Redbridge Council) Salary: £59,646 – £61,692 (includes £3,000 retention bonus)
 Contract: Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Working
 About the Role:
 Redbridge Council is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join the Family Help Team. You will support and supervise social workers, ensuring high-quality assessments, care plans, and interventions that improve outcomes for children and families.
 You will help create a culture of consistent and reflective practice as the service continues on its improvement journey.
 Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional supervision and practice oversight to social workers and senior practitioners.
Support the Team Manager in maintaining high standards of assessment and intervention.
Lead on complex cases, ensuring timely and proportionate decision-making.
Guide staff on PLO, pre-proceedings, and court processes.
Promote team learning, best practice, and multi-agency collaboration.About You:
Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration.
Substantial post-qualifying experience in statutory Children’s Services.
Experience in statutory assessments, long-term case management, and PLO/court work.
Experience supervising or mentoring social work staff.Hybrid Working:
 Redbridge Council operates a hybrid working model, recognised by Ofsted in 2024 as a strength. A regular office presence is important for team collaboration and supporting consistent practice. Working from home can be agreed for specific tasks, such as preparing court reports, but this is a flexible option rather than an expectation.
