We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Winsford starting June 2nd. This is a long-term role with the potential to continue into the new academic year. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to support pupils’ learning and development across the primary phase.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons, tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Provide one-to-one and small group interventions, helping to raise attainment and engagement.
* Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
* Monitor and record pupils’ progress, reporting observations to the class teacher.
* Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND or EAL, following appropriate strategies.
* Help manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive relationships and mutual respect.
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom times such as break and lunch duties, as required.
* Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil wellbeing and academic success.
