Job Opportunity: Chief Executive, NHS Grampian
We invite applications for the position of Chief Executive at NHS Grampian, following the retirement of the current Interim Chief Executive, Adam Coldwells. This leadership role is vital at a time of significant reform in the health and care system.
Salary Range: £137,195 - £182,808 per annum
About NHS Grampian: Covering North East Scotland, NHS Grampian is one of only four teaching health boards in Scotland, serving approximately 590,000 residents and employing over 17,000 staff. We provide tertiary services through hospitals like Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Dr Gray’s Hospital, and organize primary and community care into three partnerships across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee the delivery and development of our strategic plan.
2. Collaborate with Health Boards, Local Authorities, the Third Sector, academic bodies, staff, and citizens to develop sustainable health and care services.
3. Build strong relationships across boundaries and influence various stakeholders.
4. Ensure regional service delivery is safe and effective.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Extensive senior or executive management experience in health, social care, or related sectors.
2. Experience in regulation and managing public scrutiny.
3. Proven ability to achieve high-level outcomes and foster a positive organizational culture.
4. Exceptional influencing and communication skills.
