The Opportunity


National Account Manager – Branded Consumer Products United Kingdom

Hybrid – Weekly presence in HQ West Midlands


Delighted to be working with an established and well-known consumer brand operating within the stationery, creative, toys and educational product categories. Their ranges include some of the most recognisable and trusted lines in the UK and the business is supported by a broader international group that continues to invest in new product development and market expansion.


The company combines classic products with a growing range of modern, design led creative lines, which are performing strongly across grocery, discount and high street retail channels. This is a lean, collaborative commercial team where your work will be visible, and you will have genuine ownership of your customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


This position will take responsibility for a portfolio of national retail accounts across grocery, discount and high street channels (including the likes of ASDA, Waitrose and John Lewis).


The role includes:


* Full ownership of customer relationships and commercial delivery
* Leading customer plans, including range, pricing, promotion and negotiations
* Managing forecasting requirements in line with trading patterns planning ahead around seasonal volume fluctuations
* Working cross‑functionally with planning, marketing and category teams
* Monitoring performance and managing the commercial plan to deliver results


This is a hands-on commercial role that requires confidence, structure and the ability to manage multiple customer deadlines and expectations.


Ideal Candidate:


This opportunity will suit someone who is either ready to step into full National Account Manager responsibility or someone who has already managed a diverse retail portfolio and wants broader ownership.


You will bring:


* Experience managing national retail customers
* Understanding of grocery, discount or high street trading environments
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage forecasting, planning and multiple deadlines
* A proactive mindset and confidence working within a lean commercial team


Experience from branded consumer goods categories such as stationery, toys, craft, home or related sectors would be beneficial, but the key requirement is strong national retail account management experience.
