Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our guests while ensuring that all food and beverage operations run smoothly. You will assist in various areas, including bartending, catering, and food preparation, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests and taking orders promptly.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages according to established standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all food handling areas.
* Support bartending duties, including mixing drinks and serving beverages as required.
* Help set up for catering events, ensuring all necessary supplies are prepared and organised.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
* Maintain a well-stocked inventory of supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Assist with cleaning duties during and after service to uphold hygiene standards.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of bartending techniques and food safety practices is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
* A proactive attitude towards helping guests and colleagues alike.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
* Basic knowledge of catering services is beneficial but not essential.
