Behaviour Teacher Location: Thrapston, Northamptonshire Job Type: Full-time Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) About the Role We are seeking a resilient and committed Behaviour Teacher to join a supportive educational setting in Thrapston. This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of behaviour management who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in creating a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment that enables students to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with behavioural needs Manage and support challenging behaviour using positive strategies Build strong, trusting relationships with students Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and external professionals Develop and implement behaviour support plans Monitor and track student progress, both academically and socially Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A calm, consistent, and patient approach Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs What We Offer A supportive and experienced team environment Opportunities for professional development and training Smaller class sizes to allow for focused teaching The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives Safeguarding Statement This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
