Role Description
As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and reviewing contracts, resolving contract-related disputes, coordinating with various departments to ensure project requirements are met, and preparing monthly payment applications and variations. The Contract Manager will also monitor contract performance and report on contract status to senior management.
The successful candidate will join the staff as a key member of the management team, be an all-round team player, ensuring successful contract delivery demonstrating EMN Plant Ltd. high quality standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Ensuring HSEQ Compliance (in line with law, guidance and internal company policies)
* Co-ordination of all activities relating to the execution of civils works (including project planning, and coordination of labour, subcontractors, plant and material, managing changes to the scope of works and programme, managing defects)
* Review and maintenance of project documentation (including RAMS, ITPs and other QA, project management plan, Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan).
* Manage the submission of tenders.
* Manage the negotiation and execution of contracts.
* Manage commercial requirements of contracts (including valuations and compensation events)
* Project setting out and site engineer works as required.
* General liaison with clients.
* Provide technical expertise to clients.
* Co-ordinate temporary works from design to execution
Skills and Experience
* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (white or above)
* Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
* Temporary Works Coordinator
* SWQR Supervisor
* First Aid Training (training can be provided)
* Relevant, proven experience within a similar role/environment
* Able to foster strong working relationships
* Sound commercial, financial and contractual awareness
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office packages
* Full UK Driving licence
* Right to work in the UK without restriction (no sponsorship available)
