Project Engineer – Long-Term Framework Opportunity
The Danny Sullivan Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support delivery on a major long-term water infrastructure framework. This role forms part of a collaborative alliance focused on capital maintenance and enhancement across both water and wastewater sectors. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary design activities and ensuring all project deliverables meet specification, regulatory, and contract requirements. This role spans the full project lifecycle—from early conceptual design through to construction support and technical handover. This is a long-term opportunity with a tier-one contractor delivering critical infrastructure as part of a major regulated utility framework.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design coordination process across infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects from feasibility to construction issue.
Act as the interface between internal teams, design consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
Develop, review, and manage technical deliverables including design reports, specifications, and drawings.
Provide ongoing support through construction including constructability reviews, resolving RFIs, and technical issue resolution.
Ensure design compliance with industry standards, safety legislation, and contract requirements.
Support change control, risk management, and communication procedures in line with NEC contract obligations.
Attend and contribute to design and project progress meetings with stakeholders and internal teams.
Assist with the handover process, including operation and maintenance documentation and H&S file delivery.
Skills & Experience (Essential):
Degree or equivalent experience in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA Engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
Excellent communication and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
Positive and proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
Familiarity with industry standards such as WIMES.
Experience in the water/wastewater or utilities sector.
Knowledge of NEC contract frameworks.
Background in project scheduling, BIM, and commercial awareness.
Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, SMSTS, NEBOSH).
Valid CSCS Card.
