How will you contribute?
1. Reporting to the Shift Manager.
2. Responsible for leading, motivating and guiding the team of Team Leaders and Colleagues.
3. Assigning tasks to ensure optimal productivity Managing staffing levels for the operation as required, managing performance and dealing with any investigations
4. Effective leadership, management and communication with all warehouse departments
5. Engaging with the team to drive a positive culture where colleagues are encouraged and motivated to contribute to the team performance
6. Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment during shift
7. Promote the company and customer site culture and values as well as driving and promoting the right behaviours within your team
8. Support team leaders and colleagues through excellent communication and active leadership, as well as promoting diversity and inclusion
9. Ensure co-ordination and handover management between shifts
10. Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs through effective operations management
11. Responsible for ensuring high levels of excellence in culture and behaviours
12. Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
13. Recognise and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives
14. Ensure all internal / external KPI’s are achieved and regularly reviewed
What will you bring?
15. You must have proven experience of working as a Warehouse First Line Manager or in a similar role previously
16. Excellent organisational/time management skills
17. Proven background of having managed a large team, setting standards, and performance
18. Good analytical and numerical skills
19. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
20. Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
21. Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
22. Microsoft office skills (including word, excel and outlook)
23. Team Development
24. Ability To Work without Direct Supervision
25. Ability to work within a team and able to interact at all levels
26. Proven background of having dealt with complex cases in regard to disciplinary, performance, attendance.
