Research Technician (Cardiac Tissue Bank and Molecular Biology Lab Support)

Overall purpose of the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide assistance in the establishment, coordination, and day-to-day operation of a cardiac tissue bank, and to provide technical support in molecular biology labs within the BHF CRE – HF theme. The post holder will provide technical and administrative assistance in the development and establishment of a Research Tissue Bank within the BHF-CRE. They will ensure that the collection, processing, and storage of human biological materials are conducted under a robust ethical framework. They will manage ethics applications and maintain institutional ethics approval.
Responsibilities
* Assist in establishing and coordinating a cardiac tissue bank.
* Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the tissue bank.
* Offer technical support in molecular biology laboratories.
* Ensure ethical collection, processing, and storage of human biological materials.
* Manage ethics applications and maintain institutional ethics approval.
