Overview
Firvale Community Hub (FCH) is an award-winning organisation committed to improving social equalities and inclusion for communities experiencing disenfranchisement and marginalisation in Sheffield. We empower groups and individuals to find their voice and take leadership roles, to influence and inform a more inclusive society, through targeted and deeply personalised education and confidence building based projects.
We are excited to recruit for our new Multiply Sessional Tutor who will develop schemes of work/session plans and deliver an exciting range of maths courses to our ethnically diverse students. The postholder will engage local residents through events and multiple activities and promote the courses in the community and with partners. Advising students on the next steps in their learning journey is an important thread which runs through the project.
The post is funded by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and Sheffield City Council. There is therefore an important element of work with partner organisations and to provide timely monitoring reports to the City Council.
