As a leading building materials distributor, we are proud to deliver outstanding service and support to housebuilders. We are now looking for a Key Account Manager to take ownership of key customer relationships and help drive service excellence and growth.
Key Qualification: Full-time, Field-Based Role
Full UK driving licence essential. Applicants must have the right to work in Jersey at the time of application.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage and grow a portfolio of large key accounts, delivering a consistently high level of service while identifying opportunities for commercial growth
* Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, Quantity Surveyors, project managers, and site teams, becoming a trusted point of contact
* Stay visible and engaged through regular site visits and proactive communication, ensuring customer needs are understood and met
* Follow up quotations and reprice projects where required to achieve agreed revenue, margin, and growth targets
* Manage the full order lifecycle, from order input through to delivery, working closely with branches and logistics teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Source bespoke or non-standard product requirements, liaising with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery schedules
* Collaborate with branch teams to prioritise orders and align deliveries with site programmes and specific requirements
* Act as the day-to-day operational contact for assigned housebuilder sites, monitoring build progress and ensuring materials are delivered in the right quantities and at the right time
* Provide product specifications and supporting documentation, including data sheets where required
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in sales, account management, or customer support, ideally within a builders’ merchant, supplier, or construction environment
* Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of margins, rebates, delivery charges, and credit processes
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and manage competing demands
* A proactive approach, with a strong focus on service, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
* Full UK driving licence
