We're looking for Maintenance Engineer (Shift Technician) in Leicester-SRDC!
The shift Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a wide range of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within a fully automated distribution environment. Operating across high‑bay, low‑bay, and power‑store areas, this role supports both preventative and reactive maintenance activities to maximize uptime and operational performance.
Working Hours
1. Continental shift pattern (5-4)
2. 42 hours/week on average, including weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts.
3. 12-hour shifts: This will rotate between days (06:00-18:00) and nights (18:00-6:00).

Salary: £57,;

Responsibilities
5. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of MHE faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
6. Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance aligned to the SRDC and FGW areas.
7. Demonstrate a high level of electrical and mechanical competence in assessing equipment performance and using data to drive efficiency improvements
8. Work effectively with automated MHE systems, including high‑bay cranes, conveyors, and automated storage.
Qualifications
9. Apprentice trained with proven experience, Minimum City and guilds/EAL NVQ level 3.
10. Proven practical experience, preferably in installation/maintenance and Fault finding work.
11. Possess C&G 2395 or equivalent with some experience in this area.
12. Possess some PLC programming/fault finding experience.
13. Be able to work unaided and independently but in co-operation with peers, and the operations team.
14. Be experienced in high volume continuous production environment and capable of fault diagnosis using drawings.
