We have an exciting opportunity available! A Junior Clinical Fellow in Urology with Research. This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 12 months. The post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, is full time and the post holder will be expected to participate on the Urology Rota. This is an excellent opportunity within the Urology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
The post will commence in August 2026.
The exiting post is ideal for post FY2 or posts CT2 (Ideally) trainees keen to perform clinical and basic science research in the Department. The department has an international reputation of excellence in Urology and currently has over 5 national, 2 international and numerous Audits running
Main duties of the job
The post will include exposure to Robotic Surgical Assisting, Day case surgery, Flexible cystoscopy exposure, medical student teaching and supporting Foundation trainees on the ward. Our current fellow has published papers in high impact journal and has presented at national and international meetings. The Urology Research fellow is also expected to support the current Robotic Fellow to maintain the department’s robotic database and contributes to national audits.
