Are you an experienced Overhead Line Chargehand looking for your next challenge? We want you to be part of our dynamic team working on our exciting UKPN contract! As a Chargehand Linesperson, you will lead small teams of 2-3 members in essential tasks such as erecting poles, changing transformers, and performing various overhead line works.
We are thrilled to announce that we have secured a 5-year contract with UK Power Networks, supporting their ED2 Distribution Network Programme. Our services will span across all distribution assets, including overhead lines, underground cabling, and substations on LV, 11kV, and 33kV networks. Starting from April 1, 2023, our teams will be operating in the beautiful southwest Chilterns, Borehamwood, and the Bedford/Cambridge area.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of UK Power Networks.
* Install, build, and refurbish overhead lines up to 33kV.
* Follow all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
* Liaise with Site Supervisors regarding specific site issues.
Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
* Experience working on Overhead Lines electrical networks.
* A valid EUSR or CSCS Card.
* A valid First Aid Qualification.
* Pole Top Rescue certification.
* IPAF 1B Qualification.
* Manual Handling certification.
* Experience working at height.
* Winch operation skills.
* NRSWA Qualification.
* DNO operational authorisation (UKPN).
* A clean Driving Licence.
