Overview
This post will be responsible for all the key operational elements of the church. You will have other members of the team supporting you with finance, events management, buildings, and facilities. Role descriptions for these roles are available upon request. You will be part of the Fountains Management Team. This role will encompass the following:
1. Spiritual Leader: Alongside the clergy and other members of the team, you will be part of the Fountains Senior Management Team; expected to participate in and lead team worship and prayer. Encourage your team and congregation in their discipleship journeys.
2. Communication: Work with our Worship and Creative Director to ensure regular and effective communication internally and externally, promoting the church and its activities. Communicate the vision of FCB to external partners and stakeholders to enable applications for grant funding.
3. HR: Administer various HR processes including employee contracts, holiday and sickness recording, and performance management for staff and volunteers.
4. Volunteer Management: Collaborate with team leaders to develop teams within the church, ensuring safer recruitment policies and proper volunteer management.
5. Management of Systems: Own Fountains Sharepoint and Churchsuite database for data storage and management. Ensure proper use of personnel systems.
6. Building Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure the building is maintained and cleaned to a high standard, highlighting any issues that arise.
7. Stock Control: Manage stock sourcing cost-effective and environmentally friendly goods.
8. Room Rental and Event Management: Oversee the development of the rental pipeline, ensuring appropriate event management for room rentals and events.
9. Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Security: Lead in ensuring that health and safety, safeguarding, and data control procedures are embedded in the organisation's culture.
10. Financial Management: Work with financial oversight for FCB, developing operational budgets, maintaining accurate digital records, and preparing financial reports.
11. Data Collection/Monitoring: Ensure robust data collection and monitoring across operations for reporting needs.
12. Governance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with H&S, Safeguarding, and Governance legislation, providing necessary information for meetings.
13. Process Improvement: Advocate for the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Fountains Church Bradford is a 5-year-old resource church in a newly refurbished building in the City Centre of Bradford. We have several growing worshiping communities and a network of churches. Bradford is a young and vibrant City that has a special place in God's heart.
