Candidate should be a nurse with nmc pin and care home management experienceKey Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership:Provide strong leadership and direction to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence in care.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all residents, ensuring a person-centered approach.Supervise and support the development of nursing and care staff, offering guidance, training, and mentorship.Maintain oversight of resident care plans, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect the needs and preferences of the individual.Monitor and manage clinical risk, taking appropriate action to mitigate issues as they arise.Lead on infection control measures and ensure compliance with hygiene and health & safety policies.Operational Management:Oversee daily nursing operations, including staff rostering, medication management, and general nursing duties.Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the care home runs efficiently.Ensure compliance with CQC (or other relevant regulatory bodies) standards and prepare for inspections.Support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of nursing and care staff.Monitor and evaluate the quality of care delivery through regular audits, feedback, and quality assurance programs.Clinical Training & Development:Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for nursing staff through in-service training, mentorship, and support.Ensure staff are compliant with mandatory training requirements and that they are kept up to date with best practices and regulatory changes.Conduct performance appraisals for nursing staff and implement development plans.Resident & Family Interaction:Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their voices are heard in care planning.Address concerns, complaints, and issues raised by residents, families, or staff in a professional and timely manner.Facilitate family meetings and ensure communication is open and transparent.Health & Safety:Ensure that all aspects of clinical care comply with health and safety legislation.Ensure effective risk assessments are completed regularly for residents and staff, and actions are taken where necessary to improve safety.Qualifications and Experience:Registered Nurse with current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a senior nursing role, with at least 1 year in a leadership position (e.g., Charge Nurse or Deputy Manager).Strong knowledge of care home regulations, CQC guidelines, and health and safety standards.Proven ability to manage and lead a nursing team, demonstrating effective communication and organizational skills.Experience in managing budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.Up-to-date clinical skills and evidence of continuing professional development.Key Skills:Leadership and team management.Strong clinical knowledge and experience.Effective communication, both verbal and written.Problem-solving and decision-making.Compassionate, empathetic, and resident-focused approach to care.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.Desirable Qualifications:Must be a nurse manager Experience in a care home or similar healthcare setting.TPBN1_UKTJ
