We're currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join our clients growing team in Hull. What You'll Be Doing
* Setup & Programming
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments
* Set up CNC lathes and write/modify programs as needed
* Turning Operations
* Operate CNC lathes to perform precision turning
* Adjust cutting parameters, speed, and tool settings
* Monitor machine performance and correct issues promptly
* Quality Control
* Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
* Maintain high-quality standards across all operations
* Machine Maintenance
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance
* Ensure proper lubrication, cleanliness, and tool integrity
* Health & Safety
* Comply with all safety procedures
* Wear correct PPE and report hazards promptly
What We're Looking For
* Time-served Mechanical Engineering or CNC-specific apprenticeship
* Proven experience operating CNC turning machines
* Solid understanding of CNC programming and machining software
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Problem-solving mindset and a proactive attitude
