Our client are seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Manager to lead Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards across fast-paced, multi site logistics operation. This is a key role in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a positive safety culture throughout the business. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will oversee the management systems, certifications, training, and audits while acting as the business's trusted advisor on all HSEQ matters.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety Management System.
Maintain up-to-date H&S policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Liaise confidently with external bodies including HSE, local authorities, insurers, auditors, and accreditors.
Deliver engaging H&S training programmes tailored to departments and roles.
Champion a proactive safety culture through campaigns, workshops, and toolbox talks.
Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
Produce and present H&S performance data, KPIs, trends and improvement plans.
Coordinate fire safety, emergency evacuation procedures, first aid, and marshal requirements.
Manage the company's Quality Management System and BRCGS Storage & Distribution certification.
Oversee all internal and external H&S, quality, and environmental audits.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including RIDDOR reporting.
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in an HSEQ role, ideally within logistics or a similar operational environment.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental requirements.
Experience with BRCGS Storage & Distribution standards.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher) is essential.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Skilled in Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce data-driven reports and presentations.
Positive, proactive mindset with high levels of integrity and a commitment to continuous improvement.
