This role will support the Senior Manager (Risk, Control and Governance) and the Consumer Performance Unit (CPU) Directors in the oversight and development of all product governance activity, including delivery and maintenance of the New Product/Proposition Development (NPD) and In-Life Product Management (ILPM) frameworks across UKI CPU and BSP functions. This includes ensuring all teams can access and utilise NPD and ILPM processes and are able to bring all product governance related matters to the appropriate forum for discussion and decision making.
The role holder will provide support, guidance and oversight for the preparation and delivery of all product governance activity and will ensure that all regulatory requirements relating to product governance are met. In addition, the role holder will ensure that conduct risk is managed in line with the Bupa UKI Customer Outcomes Policy, ensuring that conduct risk is reported appropriately as part of the risk framework. The role holder will also be required to oversee the maintenance/ development of all NPD/ILPM related documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with the relevant associated regulatory requirements.
You’ll help us make health happen through:
1. Supporting the Senior Manager (Risk, Control and Governance) and UKI in the delivery of NPD and ILPM process as per business and regulatory requirements
2. Leading on co-ordination of key governance forums (inc. scheduling, creation of meeting packs, recording of minutes, actions etc.)
3. Ensuring all related NPD/ILPM documentation is maintained and developed (as required) to meet all necessary regulatory requirements, including any shared information repositories (e.g. ILPM SharePoint site, MS Team channel for NPD etc.) and related process maps, manuals and guides
4. Delivering of effectiveness reviews across all key governance forums
5. Maintaining/developing of the product governance risk register, ensuring risks and associated controls are assessed in line with business requirements
6. Provision of relevant information/metrics for onwards reporting (e.g. Risk, Control and Governance Oversight Meeting pack)
Key Skills needed for this role:
7. Significant experience of the FCA and/or Financial Services regulatory environment
8. Good and demonstrable understanding of Product Governance and all associated regulatory requirements (e.g., PROD 4, ICOBS etc.)
9. Stakeholder management skills and experience
10. Knowledge/experience of Bupa’s product governance processes
11. Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, with the ability to motivate people across the organisation
12. Good organisational skills
