Van Driver – Permanent Role
Location: Congleton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Salary: £13ph, increasing after 12 weeks
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable builders’ yard in Congleton who are seeking a reliable and hard-working Van Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
As a Van Driver, you’ll be responsible for delivering bulk bags to domestic properties across the region. You’ll be representing the business in a customer-facing role, so a friendly and professional attitude is a must.
Key Duties:
1. Safe and timely delivery of materials to residential addresses
2. Loading and unloading of goods (manual handling involved)
3. Daily vehicle checks and ensuring van cleanliness
4. Providing excellent customer service on every drop
Requirements:
5. Must be 21 or over (for insurance purposes)
6. Full, clean UK driving licence
7. Physically fit and healthy – this is a physically demanding role
8. Previous experience in a similar delivery role is preferred but not essential
9. Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work independently
