Position: Critical Electrical Engineer (Data Centre M and E)
Location:Essex
Salary: GBP 50,000
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off, rotating every 28 days)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled Critical Electrical Engineer to join a state:of:the:art Data Centre in Essex. This role, within a specialist team, offers a modern and clean working environment, with extensive training and opportunities for career progression. You'll be directly supporting a leading Data Hosting Company, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of critical systems within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution units.
: Conduct HV shutdowns and respond to electrical faults, troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.
: Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure 24/7 operational uptime for the Data Centre.
: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
: Participate in shift:based operations to support the round:the:clock performance of the site.

Requirements:
: City and Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification
: Minimum of 3 years experience in building services (preferably in critical environments such as Data Centres or banking facilities)
: Strong electrical systems knowledge, with hands:on experience in high:voltage (HV) and low:voltage (LV) systems
: Excellent client:facing skills and the ability to work as part of a team
: A proactive approach to problem:solving and maintenance
