SEN Tutor Job Duties: Provide tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' academic progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary Provide feedback and support to students to boost their confidence and motivation Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with students with SEN Knowledge of SEN policies and best practises Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning styles Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN teaching Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different SEN conditions and their impact on learning Effective classroom management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs Training in specific intervention strategies for SEN students Working Conditions: Part-Time hours, flexible schedule Work closely with students, teachers, and parents Potential travel to different educational settings within the Haringey area All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
