About Our Client
My client is an organisation based in Dudley, and the successful candidate will be joining a friendly, close knit team. The are fully onsite, and can offer the successful candidate a flexible approach to working, i.e. with working hours.
Job Description
The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Head of Finance and duties will include but are not limited to:
* Being responsible for the Purchase Ledger function, posting invoices and matching to the purchase orders.
* Preparation of BACS payments
* Authorising new supplier accounts and maintaining existing supplier accounts details
* To be proactive in the reconciliation of supplier statements
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly VAT returns
* Processing staff expenses
* Processing other financial transactions to include journals, credit card expenditure, income postings, cashbook receipts and payments, and bank reconciliations.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will:
* Have demonstrated experience working in a similar role in finance
* Have experience working within a busy finance team
* Understand general accounting principles
* Be competent on Microsoft Excel
* Have excellent interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

The successful candidate can expect an hourly rate c£14.00-15.50 p/h + a full time role + flexible working hours + onsite parking + an immediate start
