Role Overview: Project Engineer - Liverpool Area
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering site utility expansion projects, working closely with the Project Manager, utilities team, and external contractors. This is a hands-on project-focused role, offering a high level of autonomy and exposure to large-scale capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering utilities projects in a manufacturing setting and be comfortable working across multiple disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Supporting site utility expansion projects relating to HVAC, water, gas, compressed air and steam systems.
5. Utility consumption modelling and calculations using thermodynamic principles.
6. Developing project scopes, plans and documentation to support site expansion activities.
7. Creation and review of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
8. Managing and coordinating contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with site and regulatory standards.
9. Working collaboratively with the utilities team and other site-based engineers.
10. Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day project activities and ad-hoc engineering tasks as required.
Requirements:
11. Minimum of 3 years' experience working on utilities projects within a manufacturing environment.
12. Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, brewing, or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
13. Strong understanding of utility systems and thermodynamic principles.
14. Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
15. Comfortable working autonomously on site-based projects and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
16. Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
