Community Support Worker – York (Rosegarth)
Salary: £13.21 per hour with £1 extra on Bank Holiday and Weekend.
Hours: 35 hrs per week.
Role Summary
Our aim is to support service users to live the lifestyle of their choice and promote independence, focusing on their individual goals and aspirations. The role involves organising and participating in a wide range of activities – from choir practice, songwriting, brass band performance, cinema visits, local pubs, swimming and community events – to support users in a social home environment. You will enjoy seeing users achieve greater self‑sufficiency and satisfaction.
About You
* At least 18 months of UK community support experience.
* Genuine empathy for residents, with positivity, patience and resilience to support them through challenging phases of rehabilitation.
* Enjoys teamwork and takes pride in accomplishing tasks well with colleagues.
* Excellent face‑to‑face communication skills and good literacy standards.
* Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
