The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre provides support to projects that range in complexity and size with our service offerings spanning across Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management, and Commercial Disciplines. We provide support to the full project lifecycle both pre‑contract and post‑contract, delivering infrastructure projects on behalf of our clients from several hundred thousand pounds to major programmes worth over £200M.
Job Description

We are looking for Project Controls professionals to support our Defence client portfolio, develop experience across various projects and programmes, and help deliver projects in the South West.
Key Deliverables
* Deliver Project Controls across infrastructure projects in the South West.
* Lead the programme controls function for a programme, monitoring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting.
* Review new project proposals and ensure realistic, resourceable plans are developed.
* Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning functions to resolve issues.
* Provide an efficient day‑to‑day service to Programme and Project Managers in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance.
* Ensure data input into cost and performance systems meet required standards.
* Manage the production of the Investment Plan in compliance with the Investment Competence Framework.
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent experience.
* Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., Association for Project Management, PMI).
* Ability to make risk‑based decisions where parameters are unclear.
* Adaptable leadership style and flexible when working with uncertainty.
* Competent in using required software.
* Desire to work across various sectors and with a range of clients.
Security Clearance
Due to the sensitive nature of these projects you must be a SOLE UK National able to maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). Many of the clients are subject to MoD security clearance and trade control restrictions, affecting eligibility based on nationality and residency. Working Location
* Hybrid working: 60% client sites or Turner & Townsend offices, remaining 40% flexible. Office attendance must align with business demands.
