Marketing & Communications Trustee - Volunteer
Help shape and lead Endometriosis South Coast’s marketing and communications strategy. Develop campaigns, manage our brand and reputation, and ensure clear internal and external messaging to raise awareness and support for our community.
As our Marketing & Communications Trustee, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on Endometriosis South Coast’s reach, reputation, and ability to support our community. By leading the charity’s marketing and communications strategy, you will ensure that our messages are clear, consistent, and resonate with the people who need us most. Your contribution will help increase awareness of endometriosis, improve engagement with supporters, and strengthen relationships with partners, funders, and healthcare stakeholders.

Experience and Skills
* Significant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
* Experience in developing and implementing marketing or communications strategies, ideally in a nonprofit or mission‑driven context.
* Understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation.
* Knowledge of internal communications best practices to keep teams and volunteers informed and engaged.
* Experience in brand management and reputation management.
* Ability to analyse performance metrics and use insights to improve campaigns.
Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the charity’s mission and goals.
* Lead on internal communications, ensuring that staff, volunteers, and trustees are well informed and engaged.
* Direct external communications, including social media, press, newsletters, and campaigns, to ensure consistent messaging and strong engagement.
* Manage and strengthen the charity’s brand identity and reputation, ensuring all materials reflect our values and professionalism.
* Support marketing campaigns that drive awareness, fundraising, and community engagement.
* Advise the board on trends and best practices in marketing, communications, and public engagement.
You may also have the opportunity to chair or participate in a marketing or communications subcommittee, giving you the chance to work closely with volunteers and the Marketing Manager to deliver practical initiatives and campaigns.
